The Summer Garden
The summer garden is
full of delights
To brighten your days
and enchant your nights
Roses and lavender
mingle together
Sunflowers and beans
climb as if to reach heaven!
A little red poppy
blooms for a day
Just passing through but
not here to stay
And yet on a new day
there will be poppies galore
Death isn’t the end - but
merely a door.
Gladioli and lupins
blossom into tall spires
Sometimes at night I see
on them – faerie lights!
Yellow Admirals and
Monarchs dance on the breeze
And a dear little
sparrow sings cause he’s free.
